Happy Anniversary To Me

Happy Anniversary Cupcake! Today is one year since I drank my final bottle of Budweiser beer or in fact any alcohol whatsoever. It's also been 45 days since my final cigarette. I weigh 180 lbs. I'm in the best shape of my life. Everything is going alarmingly well. I know I still have a long way to go though. When asked what I want to do to celebrate the first thing that comes to my mind is "drink". Go back to the shack with a bottle of Jack and get fuckin' whacked. This makes sense. It is not normal behavior for alcoholics to stay sober. I wish I felt a little better though. I'm still pretty sad. Considering where I am in my life compared to where I easily could be I ought to be on my knees in tears of gratitude and happiness right now. I'm working on it. God, please grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen.

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so f-ing, fabulously awesome!!!!!! I'm thinking of giving you a call but I don't know if I have the right phone number for you anymore-time goes by so fast that even tho it seems like you just gave it to me it was probably like, a year ago. I want to touch base about your Miami vacation. I'm really happy for you. I always knew good things would happen in your life!!!! Big hugs!

Happy Anniversary!!! A friend stopped me at church Sunday morning to tell me it was his birthday, i.e., his 35th year of sobriety - so long-term sobriety can be done!! Congrats on kicking the butts too - if you've made it this far you can do it.

The changes have only made you even more sexy (who knew that was even possible!). Congratulations Gorgeous!

It works if you work it. Keep working it, baby. You're doing great.

Even if it hurts.

Especially when it hurts. :(

I know, I know. Welcome to the funhouse.

Happy Anniversary! You should be so very proud of yourself. When I try to give up sugar, I'm amazed at the strength that folks like you have. And no, I've not even come close to kicking it.

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate your support.

Oh... Sorry being late by 24 hours... and as it is my little brother's bd tomorrow, I understand better how it could connect between us...;-))
You should be so proud of yourself... well, I know I will be proud of me if I only did a quarter of what you achieved this last year!!! It is truely wonderful....
And love... yes... love... You know, it can come late in life... It happens... It happened to me... and I've been hurt so many times before it shows up that I often act like it doesn't exist at all...
Don't let life do that to you... because once you stop believing, it is very hard to be back in it...;-)
Happy Birthday!
